Public Assistance (for the state)

The amount for the Public Assistance differs in each state.

• To give assistance to the targeted group of the Department who are underprivileged, in order to temporary lighten their financial  difficulties or until they become self-reliant.

• Each state has it's own Public Assistance and eligibility requirements. Allocation of funds also varies in each state.
• Assistance will be given to underprivileged families who are needy

Apprenticeship Allowance

RM200.00 for each person, monthly

• To assist youth who are children of financial assistance recipients of the Department of Social Welfare especially school dropouts, those unemployed or with social problems to acquire training skills or internship.

• Chlidren of Department of social Welfare financial assistance recipients;
• Former inmates of institutions under the Department of Social Welfare;
• Those under supervision for fdelinquent cases, unter the Department of social Welfare;
• Other clients of department

Launching Grant

RM2,700 (one-off)

• To provide financial assistance to the target group who are keen and have potential to be enterprise or venture into small business.
  
  JKM encourage beneficiaries to self-reliant and improve their standard of living without depending on another to help the Government.

• Receiving a monthly assistance or family members

• Persons with Disabilities (Disability), currently acquired service from the Department

• Former trainee of the Welfare Institutions

• probation supervision cases
