I wish to mention here that as a result of the Penan Taskforce Report, the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development has received many proposals and suggestions from various parties. We appreciate the feedback and we look forward to receiving more.

Subsequently, the feedback will allow us to develop various perspectives with regard to the development planning for the Penans.

The State Government of Sarawak too has requested the presence of the Women Development Department Director General, Dato' Dr. Noorul Ainur Mohd. Nur who was also heading the Penan Taskforce to a meeting in Sarawak on 26 October, 2009. Dato' Dr. Noorul has been requested to furnish details of the Penan Taskforce Report in order for the State Government of Sarawak to formulate strategies with a holistic and integrated approach for the development of the Penan community.
