Rumah Tunas Harapan (RTH) is a new approach in children care and protection. It is a Home within a “family system” with foster parents for the children just like a normal family that emphasize on loving and caring upbringing.  This home concept is intended to provide upbringing, care and education to the children in a family surrounding and ensuring comprehensive love and guidance for them.

The construction of the house is fully funded by the private sectors and corporate bodies or individuals who wish to donate/contribute towards the cause.

While the operational aspects of the RTH are under the supervision and administration of DSWM, the Board of Management comprises committed members of the local community who wish to contribute towards the well being of the children with regards to their education, welfare and development.  The board is appointed by the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.
